Kloetinge, which had to do without injured basic players Ruben de Jager and Dook van den Berg, had a difficult time against Quick in the first half. The Beveland team itself did not get further than a little threat through Reguillo Vandepitte (stopped by the goalkeeper), while opponent Quick was regularly dangerous on the counter. From close range, striker Abdulrahman Sango should have even scored, but his attempt went over.
After the break, Quick did express the dominance on the scoreboard. Sango passed Kloetinge keeper Mitchell Braafhart and then had the ball bumped into him by defender Koen Plank, who wanted to clear the ball. However, the ball caromed into the goal via the striker: 1-0. Luck also played a factor in the second goal from The Hague, not much later, when Jeffrey Theunisse had a ball hit him hard from close range and thus passed Braafhart: 2-0.
Substitute Daan Schouw brought Kloetinge back into the match, with a curved ball over Quick keeper Zunderdorp: 2-1. It gave the guests new impetus, without becoming really dangerous in the future, even with defender Julius Bliek as an extra attacker. Two minutes before the end, Rachid Bouyaouzan ended the match with a beautiful volley: 3-1.
