The fire brigade is still working all day to extinguish the fire in the distribution center in Oss. A very large fire was raging there from Friday morning.

The Safety Region reports that many fire brigade units are present to extinguish various fires. A lot of smoke is also released.

The fire broke out around 4:30 am on Friday. Because the seat of the fire was in the ice-cold cold room, fighting the fire was difficult. The fire extinguishing water could freeze.

The fire kept getting bigger. Ultimately, about 250 firefighters were fighting the fire at the same time.

Yesterday morning, the fire brigade reported that the fire was under control after more than 28 hours. The warehouse of 300 by 150 meters was full of food and completely burned down, writes Omroep Brabant. The fire brigade was able to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings.

Several people who live around the warehouse were housed elsewhere on Friday. They cannot return home today, the Safety Region says.
