The Textile Race Schouwen-Duiveland and Walcheren will take place from May 20 to June 13. Ten schools learn all about the importance of reusing, repairing and recycling textiles! After a guest lesson, they compete against each other to reuse, repair and collect as much textiles as possible. The school that scores the most points also wins a very cool main prize. The Textile Race makes reusing, repairing and collecting textiles fun, educational and easy!

If you live near these schools, you can easily and free have your textiles collected from your home between May 20 and June 13. You do this by offering your textiles online on the website: www.textielrace.nl. For textiles, think of a used sweater, your socks, used curtains or a used towel.

You can help schools!

When you return your textiles correctly, you contribute to less environmental damage, fewer people having to work under poor conditions and more textiles can be reused. We make it easy for you because the waste can be collected from home. Moreover, you support the school in your neighborhood as a contender for a very nice top prize. So, if you live near the participating schools, join us and put your textiles online! As a thank you for registering online, you will receive discount codes for various sustainable brands, such as Iron Roots, LABFRESH, Mud Jeans and Loop.a Life.

The schools participating in Walcheren and Schouwen-Duiveland are; Eben Haëzerschool (Oostkapelle), Joos van Larenschool (Arnemuiden), De Oostersburcht (Oosterland), De Goede Polder (Vrouwenpolder), Boazschool (Meliskerke), De Omnibus (Vlissingen), Theo Thijssenschool (Vlissingen), CBS JL de Jonge (Zierikzee) , CBS Onder de Wieken (Burgh-Haamstede) and Palmenhof (Middelburg).
