A woman fell under a riot police bus on the Vestdijk in Eindhoven on Monday evening. This happened around half past ten, after the honoring of the PSV football players in the center.

According to the police, it concerns a young woman who is ‘about 25 years old’. She crossed the road on foot.

An eyewitness previously spoke of a young girl. According to bystanders, the woman was rushed to a hospital and several ambulances came to the scene of the accident. After the collision, the Vestdijk was closed to all traffic in both directions.

Passing traffic jam
The police say that the riot police bus was driving along a traffic jam when things went wrong. At that time, the exodus of supporters from the city was underway after the PSV celebration.

A team specialized in traffic accidents carried out investigations. It is not about a team from Eindhoven. In the event of accidents involving the police, a different police team always investigates. Exactly which team was called in has not been released.

It was not yet clear on Monday evening how the driver did not see the woman. On Tuesday morning it will be determined whether further investigation is necessary and which police team will take on that task.
