A student, a girl, from De Werft primary school at Raaimoeren in Breda was harassed by an unknown man on Monday afternoon. The school has therefore sent a warning letter to parents and guardians of the students. That letter is in the hands of Omroep Brabant. A student at the school was also harassed in April, possibly by the same perpetrator.

The man approached the girl on Monday around half past one in the schoolyard and asked if she wanted to go home with him, a police spokesperson told Omroep Brabant. The girl reported this to someone at the school. A search turned up nothing, the man had already disappeared.

The school itself talks about harassment ‘on the way to school’. “Before the May holidays, we informed you about an incident in which a student was accosted in an annoying and intimidating manner by a man on the way to school. Today, a student was accosted again on the way to school. We are in close contact with the police, they will address this. We request that you, together with the school, be alert and report it if your child has a similar experience,” says the letter sent to parents.

It concerns a man with black hair, he is somewhere between 30 and 40 years old and was wearing black jeans.

No one at De Werft was available for further explanation.
