Four artists from different places on and near the Utrechtse Heuvelrug have united to exhibit in the Hearing Hall of P’Arts in Den Dolder. Jorie van der Loo is self-taught and paints any subject he finds interesting. These could be: landscapes, people in a museum, a church interior… After his recent move to Rhenen, Jorie painted the Cunera tower from various points of view. Figurative art, especially painting around 1900, has always fascinated Bert Dekker. Bert, who lives in Bunnik, paints according to impression, not precision. He prefers the expressionist approach. He also likes a lively use of color. Marianne de Boer lives and works in Zeist. Her paintings are fresh, lively and colorful. She works with acrylic and oil paint and paints from abstraction to a realistic concept. Marianne recently experiments with painting on ‘bare’ linen, which gives a calm effect. Bert van der Heijden from Bunnik took stones with him on his travels and processed them into statues in his hometown. The cocoon, the stage between the caterpillar and the butterfly, has his special attention. Bert has experimented with this subject with different shapes and types of stone.

The painters and sculptor would like to invite you to our opening on Saturday, May 25 at 2 p.m. You are also welcome between 12 and 5 pm on May 25 and May 26 in Galerie De Gehoorzaal at Vijverhof, 3734 DA in Den Dolder.
