There is a new international eventing competition on the agenda in the Netherlands this year: Eventing Flevoland from July 18-20. At the bottom of the former Zuiderzee, about four meters below sea level, this new international eventing competition of one, two and three stars is organized in the unique Kuinderbos in Emmeloord.

With experienced and passionate horse people in the organization and the special location and history, Eventing Flevoland could easily grow into a popular eventing competition. “This is a course that every event rider dreams of,” says course designer Gerard Baauw. “It is a particularly varied route, with wide paths, natural height differences and three beautiful natural water features in beautiful nature.”

Unique terrain

Chairman of the Board Gert Naber is certainly no less enthusiastic than Baauw. Together with his wife, Olympic eventing rider Alice Naber, he is closely involved in the organization. “Eventing Flevoland is very special for me because I am a real Flevolander, but even more so because the terrain of the cross is unique. You won’t find a course like that of Eventing Flevoland anywhere in the world.”
