Land manager Staatsbosbeheer (SBB) recently expressed concerns about the shortage of green boas in a letter to the province.
SBB believes that the province can do more to ensure more supervision and enforcement in Limburg’s nature reserves. The letter was co-signed by Het Limburgs Landschap and Natuurmonumenten. According to the province, there is no money to meet the demand from the site management organizations, but other options are being investigated.

Local Limburg wants to know whether the Provincial Executive also believes that more can be done. The party is concerned about issues such as litter, vandalism, arson, illegal parties, wild camping, poaching, noise pollution, illegal racing with motorcycles and quads and the dumping of drugs and other waste.
Furthermore, Lokaal-Limburg wants to know why the subsidy scheme for training for wildlife management units to become green boas has not been opened.
