Exhibition ‘art snap’ route opened in Sint-Annaland and surroundings

SINT-ANNALAND – 15 years ago, Jos Boogaard and her students organized the ‘art peek’ route in Sint-Annaland and the surrounding area for the first time. The event, which takes place every two years during the Ascension weekend, has now secured a permanent place on the agenda of students and visitors!

Studios and living rooms are transformed into exhibition spaces where the varied paintings, sculptures and ceramics of 24 participants can be seen. In the past, visitors have experienced the accessibility and warm welcome as very positive. In a casual atmosphere you can enjoy art in beautiful surroundings. If you are interested, the participants will be happy to talk about the origins of the work and the technique used. ‘Your Living Room’ in Scherpenisse is not only an exhibition space, but here you can also enjoy coffee and something tasty.

Collect stamps

This year the ‘kunst kieke’ locations are in Sint-Annaland, Scherpenisse and Oud-Vossemeer. All locations are easy to recognize by their colorful flags. The route is clear and easy to navigate by bike. A beautiful cycling route (approx. 42 km) goes along the water and attractive dikes. Visitors can place a stamp in a specially designed stamp booklet at any location and with a full stamp booklet have a chance to participate in a painting workshop at Atelier Jos Boogaard. There is a treasure hunt for the children. ‘Art Kieke’ is a special outing for both young and old!

Route and times

The starting point of the route is at Jos Boogaard, Anna van Bourgondiëstraat 58, 4697CX Sint Annaland, where you can also obtain information about the other location addresses. But in principle you can start the route at any location you want; the numbers on the flyer only indicate an order of advice. You are very welcome and we hope to see you soon. The locations are open on Ascension Day 9 May 2024 from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM and on Friday 10 May and Saturday 11 May from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Entrance is free!
