5 erotic movies and series on Netflix to stream in bed

The erotic thriller, comedy or fantasy genre doesn’t often come up when you’ve reached the point during a dinner that Netflix becomes the topic of conversation. An unjustified taboo, because viewing figures show that the films and series below are viewed en masse.

At the top of the list of erotic thrillers, an unexpected ratings hit from Poland, which received a lot of criticism. Okay, you can skip that one on your second date.

1. 365 Days (and its two successors)

This erotic thriller became a mega hit shortly after its release. But not everyone was happy with 365 Days, because of its alleged glorification of sexual abuse. The cast defended this, making it clear that it is purely the film adaptation of a fictional bestseller. “We estimate that the viewer understands that the behavior in this movie is unacceptable in real life, but that’s true of so many movies with violence,” said lead actor Michele Morrone.

The film uses a Polish cast and tells of a woman who is a victim of a domineering mafia boss who keeps her captive. She is given a year to fall in love with him. So a pretty messed up script. Yet it turned out 365 Days despite – or precisely because of – the fierce criticism, a hit in the ratings, so that we can now also watch parts 2 and 3 of the erotic film series on Netflix. The film and sequels scored 0% on Rotten Tomatoes, but broke Netflix records. Think of it as Sharknado-like cult and you have a nice evening.

2. Oscuro Deseo

We continue the list of erotic thrillers on Netflix with a sultry Mexican series. Oscuro Deseo (dark desires) scores well in the Netherlands. The erotic series may not have a strong story, but more than compensates for this with an abundance of functional nudity and spicy erotic scenes that stimulate the senses.

3. Crush (aka Shattered)

This psycho-erotic thriller was even the best-watched film on Netflix for a while, in mid-2022. Crush – known in some countries as Shattered – tells the story of a wealthy bachelor who builds a relationship with a charming stranger. This relationship takes a horrible turn.

The cast of this erotic thriller is strong with names such as John Malkovic, Cameron Monaghan, Lilly Krug and Frank Grillo. No, you won’t find erotic films and series just in the Hollywood drain.

4. Outlander

Also the famous series Outlander we classify it under eroticism, but with a fantasy touch. Based on Diana Gabaldon’s fantasy novels, this thrilling series centers on the drama of two lovers separated by time. Outlander already has 5 seasons, from March 2023 season 6 will also be available on Netflix. Lots of steamy scenes, not a series to watch with your parents.

5.Easy

Let’s not take this list of erotic films and series too seriously: Easy is an erotic tinged comedy-drama from 2016 (3 seasons) with an absolute star cast.

The series focuses on the lives of various Chicago residents, who navigate a maze of love, sex, culture and technology. Enjoy stars such as Orlando Bloom, Aubrey Plaza and Dave Franco, among others.
