Let’s face it: as far as live-action Marvel movies go, Sony Pictures has had some big ones in recent years stinkers released. Morbius and Madame Web were so lousy they became a meme. Highly unsatisfactory marks on IMDb, merciless reviews on Rotten Tomatoes; you know it.

Yet at the same time, it was Sony Pictures that released two of the best Marvel films of recent years. Then we’re talking about the Spider Verse-movies. Compelling Spider-Man films brought to life with an insanely creative animation style. A style that has had a significant impact on animated films in general.

Breaking stigma with Kevin Love

The short film is part of a lesson plan from the Kevin Love Fund, which aims to break the stigma surrounding mental health. The namesake is Kevin Love, an American basketball player who dares to be open about his life in that testosterone-filled male world struggles with depression and anxiety attacks.
The latter is also what happens to Miles The Spider Within. This time there is no supervillain at the door, but the worries, fears and dark thoughts that the young superhero himself has. Yes, even Spider-Man is just a young man with such struggles. Go, get rid of that stigma.
