Dai Dai N’tab has found a new team after leaving Skating Team Jumbo. The multiple national sprint champion will ride in the colors of Team IKO at least until the 2026 Olympic Games.

With his new team, the 29-year-old N’tab will be a teammate of Joy Beune and Michelle de Jong, among others. He also meets his former trainer Erwin ten Hove at Team IKO. N’tab already worked with him as a teenager.

N’tab was considered a great sprint talent in his youth, but could not live up to the high expectations. The sprinter is still waiting for his first Olympic participation. He did, however, win bronze in the 500 meters at the 2021 World Championships.

“I’m really looking forward to getting started,” says N’tab. “The conversations with the staff have increased my confidence that I can do much better than what I have shown so far and the team feels like a warm bath from the first moment.”

N’tab was one of many departures from Jumbo

In his last year at Jumbo, N’tab celebrated few highlights. He suffered from back problems early in the season and failed to qualify for the World Cups.

N’tab is one of the many departures from Jumbo. A total of nine skaters left, including Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong (Team Reggeborgh), Jorrit Bergsma (Team Albert Heijn-Zaanlander), Kai Verbij and Jutta Leerdam.

Verbij and Leerdam have not yet found a new team. For Leerdam, the future may also lie with Team IKO. Coach and team owner Martin ten Hove previously said that discussions with Leerdam are ongoing.
