Delirious Eindhoven honors PSV selection on Stadhuisplein

PSV was honored for its 25th national title in Eindhoven on Monday evening. The selection of trainer Peter Bosz was applauded by countless enthusiastic fans after the tour on the famous flat cart through the city center on Stadhuisplein.

At around 7.45 pm the PSV selection was put in the spotlight on Stadhuisplein. According to the municipality of Eindhoven, approximately 100,000 people attended the PSV ceremony.

Bosz is enjoying it to the fullest

Bosz can be businesslike and serious at a press conference, but during the tour through the city the trainer’s brakes went off. “What a turnout, this is great,” said the cheerful Bosz.

During the celebrations, the trainer also briefly reflected on the future. “Make no mistake: getting here is very difficult, but staying here is much, much more difficult,” Bosz warned.

“We will have to play even better. Feyenoord has become better this year, but they have not become champions. Everyone is going to hunt us, we will have to be even better.”

Ramalho will decide about the future later

In the meantime, the players enjoyed the championship celebration to the fullest. Joey Veerman enjoyed a beer and a bitterbal, Johan Bakayoko sang his heart out during his very first championship and Malik Tillman was probably no longer completely steady on his feet due to the drink.

Defender André Ramalho was also thinking about his future in the festive atmosphere. “I want to go to a club that is also 100 percent for me,” said the Brazilian on the flat cart.

“Is that here or somewhere else? I don’t know. I have given my heart and soul to the team every day. I also want to feel that recognition. I will take my time to make a decision.”

The experienced Ramalho (32) has an expiring contract with PSV, but has now received a new offer from the club to extend his contract.

Lang: ‘Top fit next season’

Noa Lang moved less prominently among his partying teammates on the flat cart. The attacker has not played much this season due to a persistent injury. “It has been a difficult season mentally,” he said.

“I’m sure I’ll be in great shape next season and will destroy everyone with the team,” Lang said with characteristic bravado. He is currently nearing the end of his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury.
