Developer Supergiant Games has released Hades 2 for early players. The game has been available on Steam and the Epic Games Store since May 6. The game is the successor to the popular dungeon crawler Hades, in which the Greek gods and mythology play a leading role.

As with the first part, Hades 2 is playable in ‘early access’. This means that some parts of the game have already been made available, but the game is not yet completely finished. Often, developers use this phase to finalize and improve their game based on early player feedback.

Hades 2 costs 29 euros. According to Supergiant Games, the full version of the game won’t be released until the end of this year at the earliest. Although the game already contains ‘more environments, enemies and fully voiced characters than the full version of the original game’, according to the developer, more content will be added in the future. According to the developer, Hades 2 is also easily playable on Valve’s handheld: the Steam Deck.

The end of the story won’t come out until the full version of the game is finished. If that happens, Hades 2 will also come to other consoles. Supergiant Games cannot yet confirm which platforms the game will ultimately be released on. Before the full release, a major update will be released later this year. This will happen within a number of months, but the developer does not provide an exact time frame. Supergiant Games also does not say what that update entails.
