FC Eindhoven says goodbye to coach Willem Weijs after one year. The Kitchen Champion Division club and the coach will part ways “after careful consultation” at the end of the season.

Weijs has been trainer of FC Eindhoven since last summer. He was still employed by the current number fifteen of the Kitchen Champion Division until mid-2025, but both parties have decided to end the collaboration early.

“I am proud of and grateful for the opportunity that FC Eindhoven has offered me,” Weijs said on the club’s website on Tuesday. “Despite the highs and lows, I have enjoyed my time at this great club.”

The 37-year-old Weijs succeeded Rob Penders, who left for FC Utrecht, last year. FC Eindhoven has only won once in the last sixteen matches. In total, the people from Brabant have only recorded eight competition victories this season. The club still has three games to play this season.

For Weijs, FC Eindhoven was his first full-fledged job as head coach. He was previously interim coach at NAC Breda. He also worked as a youth coach at NAC, Willem II, PSV and Ajax. Weijs was also previously an assistant coach at NAC, Anderlecht and Lommel SK.
