and Ajax are in discussions about a new contract, it is reported Football International. The forty-year-old goalkeeper has an expiring contract in Amsterdam, but may continue for longer.

Ajax strengthened itself on a free transfer in the summer of 2021 with Pasveer, who came over from Vitesse. The goalkeeper started that season as second choice behind Maarten Stekelenburg, but seized his opportunity when his competitor injured his groin.

In Amsterdam, Pasveer was then the first choice under the bar, until Ajax took over Gerónimo Rulli from Villarreal after the World Cup in Qatar. A large transfer fee was paid for the Argentinian, so Pasveer ended up on the bench again. This season, partly due to injuries, he has not yet played for Ajax. To date, Pasveer has played fifty matches for the team from Amsterdam, in which he kept his goal clean 26 times.

It was previously revealed that Pasveer would stop playing football after the current season. Now the goalkeeper has changed his mind, because he feels responsible for helping the club recover from the difficult period. In addition to Pasveer, Ajax would also like to continue with the closing post for longer.
