Prior to Feyenoord’s away match with Go Ahead on Thursday evening, Arne Slot was met by a journalist from Van der Valk hotel in Deventer. Sky Sports. The reporter had traveled from England to Deventer to catch a glimpse of the Feyenoord coach and to confront him with Liverpool’s interest.

At the beginning of this week, Slot was named the absolute top favorite for Liverpool’s coaching position. The current coach of Feyenoord must succeed Jürgen Klopp at the English superpower, who has already made the first contacts with Slot and Feyenoord about a summer transition.

The Rotterdam team stayed in the Van der Valk hotel in Deventer in the hours before the match. Upon arrival, Slot was met by a journalist from Sky Sports. “You are in the news,” said the journalist when the coach got off the Feyenoord team bus.

“That’s right,” Slot responded, laughing. The journalist then confronted Slot with his desire to one day coach in the Premier League. “I cannot deny that,” the trainer replied this time, after which he walked towards the entrance of the hotel. The journalist in question really wasn’t satisfied with that and started chasing Slot. A security guard present tried to stop the reporter, but he was not stopped and made an attempt: “Liverpool wants you…” Finally: “But today we are playing against Go Ahead Eagles”, after which the coach managed to escape.
