Kluivert last played an international match in the shirt of the Dutch national team almost six years ago. The attacker played minutes against Peru on September 6, 2018 (2-1, win). The 24-year-old winger and shadow striker is having a great season in the Premier League and hopes for an invitation from Koeman. “There is nothing better than being able to play for your country. Let alone at a final tournament. It would be a huge honor for me if I could join again,” Kluivert begins.

“I’m certainly ready when he needs me. The only thing I can do is make sure Bournemouth wants to take me along,” says the former Ajax player. The expansion allows the Dutch team to take 26 players to the tournament in Germany. Previously there were 23.

“What can help me is that I am versatile and top fit. Because I work hard, have depth, speed and action, trainers can take me in several directions. I don’t think the Dutch team will be overflowing with that,” says Kluivert, who thinks he can add something to Ronald Koeman’s selection.
