The Czech is considering leaving Feyenoord after one season. The attacking midfielder and winger will be permanently taken over from Slavia Prague next summer via a mandatory purchase option, but tells Czech media that he is not eager to spend a second season as a substitute in De Kuip.

The 25-year-old Lingr is still rented from Slavia this season, but will be permanently under contract in South Rotterdam from next summer. In his debut season, the thirteen-time Czech international played 29 games in coach Arne Slot’s team, but he only started in the Europa League qualifying match against SK Dnipro-1 (3-0 win). As a substitute, he scored decisive goals in the competition match at Vitesse (1-2) and in the semi-final of the KNVB Cup against FC Groningen (2-1).

In conversation with the Czech SZas reported by 1908.nl, Lingr indicates that he is having a great time at Feyenoord. “I must say I was a bit nervous because this is my first experience abroad and I have been in the Czech Republic all my life. But the Netherlands is a great country, my girlfriend who is here with me also helped me a lot. We have become accustomed to the country and we feel at home here,” the player is quoted as saying.

However, his lack of playing time may force Lingr to leave the cup winner: “We will learn next summer. If I could play in the starting line-up for Feyenoord, I would absolutely want to stay here, because the club is fantastic and I am here to stay.” very happy. But I want to become a basic player again,” says the Czech. A return to his previous employer could be an option, but Lingr remains mum about this: “I can’t say that now, I currently have a contract with Feyenoord and that will depend on them. It would be nice if Slavia wants me to come back, but that is not an option now.”
