Matthijs de Ligt is fit again and can play for Bayern Munich in the away match against Real Madrid on Wednesday evening. The 24-year-old De Ligt missed the first semi-final in the Champions League against Real Madrid (2-2) last week due to a knee injury.
The Korean Kim Min-jae, who replaced De Ligt last week, did not look good in either of the visitors’ goals. The expectation is therefore that De Ligt and Eric Dier will form the heart of the German defense in Madrid.
De Ligt injured his knee on April 27 in Bayern Munich’s match against Eintracht Frankfurt. He missed the away match against VfB Stuttgart last Saturday as a precaution. The medical staff of the Bavarian club wanted to prepare the Dutch defender for the away match in Madrid.
The former Ajax player also injured his knee twice earlier this season.
