Joseph Oosting has signed a new contract with FC Twente. Oosting has extended his contract until the summer of 2027. He has recently been often mentioned as a possible successor to Arne Slot at Feyenoord.

“We are doing well with players and staff and I am far from finished here,” says Joseph Oosting. “I really wanted to stay at FC Twente and am proud to work here. The club is in full development, we are making progress in many areas.

‘Impressed’

“We are impressed by Joseph’s working method,” admits technical director Arnold Bruggink. “And that doesn’t just have to do with the current position in the rankings. We knew in advance how he works, but in practice it remains to be seen how that works out. His whole way of approach is appealing.”

“Joseph sets the bar high, is ambitious and in addition to the attention for the team, there is a lot of attention for the development of young players,” says Bruggink.

In 2019, Oosting was interim coach at Vitesse for a few matches and then remained involved with the first team as an assistant coach.

Oosting was head coach of RKC Waalwijk between 2021 and 2023. Oosting has been working in this position at FC Twente since 2023.
