Chris Woerts and Jaap Stalenburg do not understand Team IKO’s choice to bring in Jutta Leerdam. The latter states that she can destroy a team. The top skater will sign a contract with Joy Beune’s team this week, the duo revealed in the podcast on Monday SportsClash.
After her departure from the Jumbo skating team – where both parties could not agree on a contract extension – Leerdam was left without a team. At Team IKO she becomes the poster child together with long track skater Beune. However, Woerts does not agree with the decision of the relatively small team. “Joy is also mediagenic and photogenic. Fewer followers on social media, but she is the star of IKO. And she must immediately resist Jutta’s fame and appearance. And she is, we all know, not a team player.”

Stalenburg agreed with the sports marketer. “Jutta can destroy a team. Do you then understand the consideration of Martin and Erwin ten Hove (team bosses Team IKO, ed.), who say: ‘Hey, with her there we might get a new, major sponsor because of the attractiveness?’” Woerts didn’t understand that at all. and called Jake Paul’s girlfriend a “one-day wonder.” “She can only win in the thousand meters at the Olympic Games. Furthermore, she has far too many things on her mind that have nothing to do with skating.”

In the meantime, Leerdam seems done with all the ‘men over fifty’ who have something to say about her. She recently posted a video on TikTok about ‘random Dutch men over fifty, who gather under every Facebook post about me and criticize while they sit and snack on the couch’. According to the skater, they should take it easy.
Remarkably, Beune also spoke to the Jumbo skating team more than a month ago, it was reported Sportnieuws.nl. The 25-year-old is said to have rejected the offer from the yellow formation.
