Bosz reveals attack plan for title extension – Voetbal International

Of course, the season is not over yet, but now that the bowl has been received, PSV can cautiously look ahead to next season. In conversation with Voetbal International, champion trainer Peter Bosz explains how he wants to proceed in order to be able to ride the flat cart again next year.

‘I have seen every player who is now at PSV grow last season. The biggest challenge, I think, will be: can we get the mindset of those guys in such a way that they can do this again. Because we have worked very hard and we have been very critical. Me too,” says Bosz, who also explains how this manifested itself.

‘While I can now happily praise them, I am of course internally very hard on the smallest silly things. They had not been champions here for five years, that was a factor. And I was new and forcing strange eyes.’ With the latter, the coach mentions a condition that he will no longer have to face next year: Bosz can no longer be called new.

‘And yet the players have to put up with it again next year. We have some ideas for that. We have given the internationals a few days off before the match against SC Heerenveen. We trained twice before the weekend when they came back. That’s a chicken coop. A bunch of chicks together. Terrible,” the coach remembers.

How to prevent that? Bosz has found a solution: tighten the reins. ‘We agree with the trainers a day later that we will get back on track. Every stupid passing and kicking exercise where a ball is played on the wrong foot, boom, on top of it. We will have to do that next year too.’
