Why this particular number?

“This is the song of me and my mother. My parents always make those home videos of our vacations. My father put this song under a video of winter sports, in which my mother and I were all dressed up. I was a about four years old, my mother was sitting at the dressing table and the whole scene was so beautiful and matched the lyrics of this song, that this really became our song.

I also share a record with my father: Red by Marco Borsato. Every time we hear this record, we belt it out loud. So if I have anything to say about it, Christina and Marco will both be played when the time comes.”

What does the song say about your life?

“During that winter sports holiday, my mother was quite ill. She had just had a kidney transplant and was not yet back to normal. I was about four years old and still too young to notice what was going on. Moreover, my mother was able to disguise it well. for me. Later we talked about it a lot, we are very open at home.

Only later did I find out that at that time my mother really had to take a breath when she walked up the stairs and had to stay in the hospital for a long time. I often visited with my father, and during the rides along the way we talked about everything. Open and honest. Because just explain to a little girl that her mother is seriously ill and doesn’t look as bright as usual. The great thing about that is that we now have a very good bond together.”

“In ten years’ time I can see a detached house in the city, with a driveway.”

“My father was always filming. He used to use his big camera, now he has a GoPro. Sometimes I found that annoying, because he films everything. You always see me looking away. I can’t wear my old T-shirt show up for breakfast, because then it will immediately be on tape.

Before I sit down to eat, I make sure my hair is neat and my outfit is a bit correct. Watching those videos back is great. Fortunately, my mother is doing completely well now. I’m happy that my father still captures so many wonderful memories.”

What do you dream of?

“I still have all kinds of dreams to dream of, of course, but when I look at where I want to be in my life in ten years’ time, I can see a detached house in the city. A driveway, some greenery around it, that seems real to me.” It’s nice. I also hope that my boyfriend and I will be financially independent and can travel around the world. Of course, I’ll have my parents come over. My father can even bring his GoPro.”

What is your guilty pleasure?

“Chocolate. Yes, I really don’t have to think about that. Chocolate is my favorite. I can also enjoy a drink on the terrace, but a box of chocolate seashells really makes me happy.”
