the first Sonos headphones leak via a Dutch online store

--

The official unveiling of the first wireless headphones from the well-known speaker brand Sonos will not take place for another few weeks, but the headset has already been leaked via an online store in Alkmaar.

After wireless speakers, Sonos will soon focus on a new product category: wireless headphones. The presentation of the first Sonos headphones is expected later this month. But product listings on a Dutch online store have already revealed the name, design and alleged price of the Sonos headphones.

Schuurman

The images of the Sonos Ace were published too early by the Dutch electronics wholesaler Schuurman. Both the Sonos Ace and a replacement ear cushion for the headset are already in a list of products on the Schuurman website. The price of the headphones is listed as just over 400 euros, but since that is a wholesale price, 450 euros would be the retail price. The separate ear cushion costs about 35 euros. The headphones come with both a USB-C cable and a headphone cable.

More hints found

The product listing also includes product numbers and in addition to Sonos Ace, it also lists the headset’s internal codename ‘Duke’. But Ace seems to be the name, as a Reddit user discovered that the Sonos site already contains a reference to the Sonos Ace. The Verge also reports that the domain name SonosAce.com refers to Sonos. There are no other details about the headphones yet.

New portable speaker Sonos Roam 2

Another new Sonos product appears on the Schuurman site: the Sonos Roam 2, the successor to the portable speaker that came onto the market in 2021. The Roam 2 seems to have the same design as its predecessor.

Later today, Sonos will also release a major update to its app, including a kind of second home screen for all your streaming services.
