Images of the first Sonos headphones have been leaked prematurely | Tweakers

--

The website of a Dutch electronics store briefly showed images of the first headphones from audio manufacturer Sonos. The headphones would be called Sonos Ace and cost just under 500 euros.

Electronics store Schuurman published details about Sonos’ upcoming headphones early, reports the American technology news site The Verge. The images and information have now been removed from Schuurman’s website. The page stated that the wholesale price of the headphones is 403.58 euros. This price excludes 21 percent VAT. This means that the consumer price is probably around 488 euros.

The images show the appearance of the headphones, which are reportedly called Sonos Ace. The headphones can be seen in a black version and contain physical buttons on the earcups. It is possible that Sonos will also release the headphones in other color options. Technical details about the device were not mentioned on Schuurman’s website.

The headphones apparently come with a storage case, USB-C cable, and a 3.5mm cable. In addition, a small storage bag appears to be included for the cables. The leaked information shows that Sonos makes separate ear cushions available. Since the price without VAT is 34.72 euros, the consumer price may be 42 euros.

In addition to the Sonos Ace headphones, there was also another unannounced product on the electronics store’s site: the Sonos Roam 2. It is the successor to the Sonos Roam speaker. The appearance of the new speaker is very similar to that of its predecessor. No technical details are yet known for this device. Sonos’ new audio products may be announced in the first half of June.
