Benjamin Van Heghe (30) from Zottegem did not die five years ago in the Geo Milieu company in Bruges due to his own carelessness, but due to the negligence of the company where he had to do an urgent job. That is the final ruling of the court of appeal in Ghent. “Unfortunately, it will not bring our son back, but it is a reparation that provides a bit of relief,” responds Benjamin’s mother Sabine. She testifies about the five hellish years of legal battles she had to fight, on top of the grief of losing her only child.
