Farce
Blinkend Goud is a performance with multiple storylines on the theme of prejudice. Nowadays people are inclined to put someone in a box and this quickly causes misunderstandings. In short; a farce with a moral, interspersed with song, dance and music.”
Seventy years young
The Hengelo Revue, which is more than seventy years old, puts on a spectacular performance every year. This year too, sixty volunteers contributed to the preparations and performances. In the new show ‘Blinkend Goud’ there is a great emphasis on the gigantic set pieces.
Tears
“The bar was also very high this year,” said Henk Kiewik of the Hengelose Revue earlier this year at 1Twente. “The piece has romance, beautiful music, very beautiful choreography and those moments of tranquility that really bring tears to people’s eyes.”
