Police are looking for dark-colored Ford Puma with damaged windows after robbery of coin and gold dealer

--

GARDEREN – Two people stole a kilo of gold from a coin and gold dealer on the Speulderweg in Garderen. They left in a dark-colored Ford Puma with damaged windows. Do you think you know who these thieves are?

The affected trader has an office at home. At the beginning of February he received a customer who was very interested in buying gold, but ultimately only bought a gold tenner. This may have been a preliminary exploration. A week later, on February 13, two customers visited the business by appointment. They took a cash box out of a bag and said they would like to buy gold. The trader showed them 150 grams of gold. The pair paid on the spot with cash from their cash box. They asked if there was any more gold in stock and said they had enough money with them. The trader then showed a kilo of gold and made it clear that this could not be paid for in cash. One of the customers took the gold and put it in the cash box, which then disappeared under the table in the bag. When the trader asked for the gold back, they put another box on the table. However, this turned out not to be the box with the gold, but a different box; it had been switched under the table. The duo ran off and the victim understood that he was being robbed, grabbed a baseball bat and chased them. The two got into the Ford Puma. The dealer hit the windshield and driver’s side window with the baseball bat in an attempt to stop the suspects. But the suspects managed to escape. They drove towards the A1 highway.

Signals

Suspect 1 had long blonde hair, possibly a wig. This person is about 50 years old, about 1.80 meters tall, has a fairly stocky build and a noticeably low voice. It is unclear whether this person was a man or a woman.

Suspect 2 is a man between 60 and 65 years old. He is quite short and chubby and speaks Dutch with a German accent.
