HOOGERHEIDE – Today, Mayor Adriaansen presented eight residents of Woensdrecht with a Royal Decoration during the General Occasion 2024, also known as the Ribbon Rain. The first person to be surprised this day is Ko van de Griek (70) from Hoogerheide, during a meeting of the municipality of Reimerswaal at the town hall in Hoogerheide.

Mr. Ko van de Griek, appointed Member of the Order of Orange-Nassau, from Hoogerheide, has ensured that since 1996 the Den Inkel swimming pool in Kruiningen was run on a daily basis by ‘Stichting Zwembad Den Inkel’, of which he himself is chairman. used to be. Students from all primary schools in the municipality of Reimerswaal were able to take swimming lessons as part of school swimming and later recreational swimming was added for various other target groups. Partly on behalf of his chairmanship at the foundation, the community has been able to use a high-quality and safe swimming pool all these years. The foundation was dissolved on October 1, 2022, because a new operator came in for the swimming pool.
