An excerpt from the broadcast shows how Omaar appears to become unwell while reading a message about British King Charles III. He stumbles over several words, such as ‘the’, ‘short’ and ‘began’. The news channel immediately removed the program from the reruns afterwards and announced a message on the screen: “We will be back soon. We are temporarily unable to offer you our +1 service.”

Omaar has been with ITV News since 2013 as a correspondent and presenter, covering a wide range of news stories both in the UK and abroad. He also won numerous awards for his work.
