Every year the makers of The Passion a discredited celebrity for the role of Barabbas and this year the honor goes to Nicol Kremers, the ex of Peter Gillis from the reality show Mass is Cash. It is tradition that Barabbas’ role is announced at the last minute.

Barabbas is the criminal who is released in the Easter story instead of Jesus. The role of Barabbas was played in previous years by Famke Louise, Ben Saunders, Yuri van Gelder, Dave Roelvink, Thomas Dekker and Dennis Schouten.

Nicol Kremers

Nicol Kremers became controversial after she and holiday park king Peter Gillis split up. Nicol said that Peter had abused her, Gillis in turn filed summary proceedings against Nicol, causing the publication of her autobiography to be postponed indefinitely.

OnlyFans

Nicol also started a career on OnlyFans, the platform on which famous and unknown people post spicy snapshots and videos. And that brings in more money than a job as a waiter or behind the cash register. Nicol said a few months ago that she rakes in a ton and a half every month.

William Spaaij (Jesus), Angela Schijf (Mary), Matteo van der Grijn (Petrus), Keizer (Judas), Gaia Aikman (Mary Magdalene) and Anita Witzier (Reporter) play the most important roles in The Passion this year.

The Passion can be seen on Maundy Thursday, March 28 at 8:30 PM on NPO1.
