The spin-off starring Vanessa Lachey follows a Hawaii-based special police unit that investigates abuses within the US Navy.

The American police series NCIS: Hawai’i has been canceled by CBS: the current third season will also be the last season. The third series can now be seen on Dutch television every Saturday on Net5, although a week will be skipped on Saturday, May 4, due to Remembrance Day. The makers only heard the news about the cancellation after the shooting of the third season. According to the website Deadline, although the finale contains a small teaser for the fourth season – which will no longer be made – the series will at least not end with a major cliffhanger. NCIS: Hawai’i is after NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans the third spin-off of the original NCIS which is now coming to an end. The fourth and most recent spin-off NCIS: Sydney was recently renewed for a second season. A spin-off about a young Leroy Jehtro Gibbs is also being worked on.
