The stately Felix Meritis in Amsterdam was the setting for the presentation of the IEX Golden Bulls 2023 last night. Eleven parties were allowed to win the walk of victory to the podium and receive the coveted golden statue.

Whether it concerns a beautiful, innovative product, long-term above-average returns, low costs, a user-friendly app or excellent service… There are all kinds of ways in which a company can distinguish itself. Once a year, IEX – by investors, for investors – puts these providers in the spotlight. We do this by awarding Golden Bulls for various investment categories.

The annual awards ceremony also makes the playing field clearer for private investors. The range of investment products and services is so wide that it is not always easy for consumers to make a choice. The nominations and the final prizes give investors a good indication of which financial service providers offer the most value for money in the eyes of the jury and/or private investors. The providers who received an IEX Golden Bull have each made an impression in their own field.

From Best Choice to IEX Golden Bull

We allowed consumers to cast a large and decisive vote in three categories. More than 5,500 investors who participated in the IEX National Investor Survey assessed market parties based on various criteria. The providers with the highest scores were nominated: you can view them here. They can call themselves Best Choice for a whole year.

Of those nominees, only one party can of course be the winner of the IEX Golden Bull 2023 per category. This choice was made by an independent professional jury in eight categories. The other three Golden Bulls are public prizes.

Below you will find an overview of all parties that will have a Golden Bull in their prize cabinet this year, with a brief explanation. The full jury report can be found here.

These are the winners

1. IEX Golden Bull – Broker of the year 2023

From the jury report: “This broker offers everything you want as a private investor: a wide range, intuitive platform, extensive and competitive rates. Last year, DeGiro has focused more on a more complete range of data for investors and additional education. Customers give high marks for the user-friendliness of the website and the app and the price/quality.”

2. IEX Golden Stier – Crowdfunding platform of the year 2023

From the jury report: “Through the acquisition of OnePlanetCrowd, Invesdor is one of the first parties to show what is possible with the new European passport in hand. At the same time, OnePlanetCrowd’s mission, offering ‘double returns’ (financial and social), remains unaffected. strength. This ensures that the jury awards this annual prize to Invesdor with full conviction.”

3. IEX Golden Bull – Online investment solution of the year 2023

From the jury report: “Brand New Day has made pension investing popular. A great achievement. It shows courage to profile yourself with this while there is often little interest in pensions among the general public. The good returns and low costs also naturally appeal to the jury.”

4. IEX Golden Bull – Asset Manager of the Year 2023

From the jury report: “Van Lieshout & Partners already had seven nominations for this and that is not without reason. The asset manager has a nice wide range of products, including individual shares and option strategies. The company is very transparent, emphatically opts for an active strategy and has a good track record.”

5. IEX Golden Bull – Private bank of the year 2023

From the jury report: “At Rabobank, the simplicity that was accompanied by excellent investment results was particularly appealing. The jury was also charmed by TijdslotSparen, a service that this bank introduced last year.”

6. IEX Golden Bull – Investment fund provider of the year 2023

From the jury report: “The jury is charmed by SKAGEN’s idiosyncratic bottom-up approach. The award of the Golden Bull is primarily a reward for adhering to a clear personal style, even if it is not fashionable, and the ability to achieve this through a skillful stock selection can still achieve good results.”

7. IEX Golden Bull – ETF provider of the year 2023

From the jury report: “The wide range of iShares is widely accessible and the cost level is very competitive. In addition, the ETF provider came up with a smart, innovative expansion of the range. The new series of iBonds – bond ETFs with a redemption date – impressed the jury. “

8. IEX Golden Bull – Sustainable Funds Provider of the Year 2023

From the jury report: “ASN has been a pioneer in the field of socially responsible investing for 30 years and continues to innovate. The jury is very pleased with the way in which the company reports on the impact of its investments. In 2023, ASN even had a world first, by acting as first asset manager to also report on the impact of investments on biodiversity.”

9. IEX Gouden Stier Audience Award – Best investment institution of 2023

For the sixth time in a row, ABN Amro has been voted the best investment institution of the year by consumers. A major achievement.

10. IEX Golden Bull Audience Award – Best rated app/platform

Investors highly appreciate Semmie’s app and platform: more than 95% of customers indicated in the IEX National Investor Survey that they were (very) satisfied with its user-friendliness.

11. IEX Golden Stier Audience Award: – Highest rating for service and helpdesk

From customer responses: “Good personal contact if necessary.” “For me, purposeful investing means unburdening.” “A good, active and cooperative club. They do what they promise.”
