No trains between Middelburg and Kruiningen-Yerseke due to disruptions | Domestic

There have been no trains running between Middelburg and Kruiningen-Yerseke since 5:30 PM. According to ProRail, two disruptions were underway.

In Goes there was a power dip at the energy supplier, which temporarily resulted in less power being supplied. This has caused problems with the overhead lines, the ProRail spokesperson tells NU.nl. Those problems seemed to have been resolved around 7:30 PM.

In addition, there is a disruption at the level crossing at Vlissingen Souburg station. The spokesperson explains that there is a malfunction in the track, which makes it appear as if trains are running, while this is not the case. As a result, the level crossing is closed. ProRail emphasizes that the two disruptions are separate.

The track still has to be released. ProRail expects this to happen around 8:45 p.m. Although the disruption at Vlissingen Sousburg station has not yet been resolved, the trains will be able to run again by then. Trains then run there on the instructions of traffic control, according to ProRail.

In any case, there is currently no train traffic at all between Middelburg and Kruiningen-Yerseke. A spokesperson for the NS informed NU.nl around 7:15 PM that bus transport will be started as an alternative timetable. The NS also advises travelers to check the travel planner shortly before departure for the most up-to-date information.
