Tangier was recently the setting of a special wedding where several American celebrities came together. This happened on the occasion of the wedding of Joe Machota, former actor and current agent of, among others, the American-Danish actress Scarlett Johansson.
The wedding ceremony, which was officially solemnized in early April, was just the beginning of the festivities. Joe Machota, CAA board member, and Michael Russell, principal broker at Douglas Elliman, chose picturesque Morocco to celebrate their wedding. The festivities stretched over several days and took place in Tangier, a city known for its enchanting views and historic buildings.

The party took place in two remarkable villas: Villa Léon l’Africain and Villa Mabrouka. Both locations are famous for their previous owners, the famous couple Pierre Bergé and Yves Saint Laurent, and offer beautiful views of the Strait of Gibraltar. The festivities held last Saturday attracted many famous guests.

According to Page Six, the guests included Scarlett Johansson with her partner Colin Jost, talk show host Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos, and CAA boss Kevin Huvane. Also in attendance were television producers Greg Berlanti and Robbie Rogers, former “SNL” star Cecily Strong and her fiancé John MacGregor of CAA, choreographer and director Rob Ashford, and Jasper Conran, the creative mind behind Villa Mabrouka. There were also prominent figures from the world of design such as David Kleinberg, Madison Cox, Frank de Biasi, Jordan Carlyle and Colin King.
