Family and friends will say goodbye to the rapper Def Rhymz, who died earlier this week, in a private circle in Rotterdam. Before this, the public can say goodbye to the musician during a funeral procession.

During the tour, the body of Dennis Bouman, as Def Rhymz was officially called, is transported in a car through the Rotterdam Crooswijk district, where he lived and grew up.

The family says that “this tribute is intended to give everyone the opportunity to say goodbye in an appropriate manner.” It is not yet clear what time the funeral procession will take place.

In addition, the family reports that a major concert will be organized in a few months to celebrate the life and music of Def Rhymz. That was one of the rapper’s last wishes. Details about the party will be announced later. The organization is in the hands of DJ E-Fortes, who has musically accompanied Def Rhymz in recent years.

It was previously announced that Def Rhymz will be buried in Suriname. To achieve this, a crowdfunding campaign was started last week. The family no longer had enough money for the funeral, partly due to the artist’s high hospital costs in recent years.

Bouman died at the age of 53 due to heart problems. He had been living with a so-called ‘support heart’ for four years, awaiting a transplant.
