Viewers don’t understand Adri’s choice of suitcase in Miljoenenjacht: ‘Away 5 million euros’ | Show

It’s quite a special season Million dollar hunt. And that mainly has to do with the home winners this season. For example, there was a group of winners in the rich village of Laren who did not trust it and decided to leave Winston standing in front of a closed door. Then he was sent off with a very crappy suitcase worth 14,000 euros. And a week later he was once again not allowed to enter the winners’ homes, who wondered ‘what is all this?’. That part went well on Sunday evening, but it made the nervous Adri stand out even more.

It could have been a much less successful evening for Adri, who knew just in time that a Big Mac consists of two hamburgers and therefore managed to outplay his opponent at the last minute. And he didn’t have to do the math either, because his opponent Frank took his chances and pressed the button. And it already turned out that Adri has some difficulty staying still. The intention is actually for the two finalists to stand neatly next to presenter Linda de Mol, but Adri decided to go for a nice walk. “Adri! Where are you going?” De Mol shouts in surprise. Even after that, the former police officer continues to stretch his legs.

Adri also seems to have no desire to participate in De Mol’s build-up of tension. Adri lives at number 29, but since that is not a suitcase, he decided to go for suitcase 7, because 9 – 2 is of course 7. Linda immediately suggests that we ignore number 11 (9 + 2) for the time being, because that is fun. But Adri is reluctant and immediately decides to open the suitcase, which turns out to contain 20 euros.

As Adri opens more suitcases, the tension increases again, so he decides to go for a walk again. And again De Mol has to stop it for a moment. “Look, that camera can only do this and now you keep walking out of the picture,” she explains. Immediately afterwards he decides not to follow his instincts with suitcase 1. “It doesn’t feel good.” De Mol advises him not to open the briefcase, but that falls on deaf ears. Adri chooses suitcase 1 anyway. The 5 million euros are gone. A shock wave goes through the room and Adri also starts to laugh very nervously. De Mol also doesn’t know what she is experiencing.

Adri then decides to throw in the towel almost immediately, to the surprise of the presenter. Because he will accept the next offer of 99,000 euros. “I’ve already figured it out,” he says laconically, while De Mol is still telling a whole story. She continues her story anyway. “I can see it in your head, you’re going to press that button,” says Linda. And his wife is also surprised. Why now? But then he’s had enough of all the nonsense. “Can I slap you or not?” And he coolly hits the button, while Linda bursts out laughing.

In retrospect, it turns out that he peaked a bit too early, because when he continues to play the game for fun, it turns out that there are 500,000 euros in his suitcase and no less than 2 million in the remaining suitcase on the stairs.

In the meantime, viewers on X are mainly busy analyzing Adri’s behavior. Some viewers almost become nervous about Adri’s agility, while others are baffled by his choices. ‘Sir chooses suitcase number 1, this doesn’t feel good, he says, but he does it anyway. Gone 5 million.” Still others agree with him that he puts an end to all Linda’s chatter.
