The Royal Military Police arrested a 38-year-old man from Veendam at Rotterdam-The Hague Airport on Wednesday on suspicion of involvement in a shooting in Hoogvliet, in which a 35-year-old man from Hoogvliet was seriously injured on February 22.

Officers found the victim seriously injured on the Koolwitjespad in Hoogvliet on February 22, 2024. They immediately provided first aid to the victim, who was then taken to a hospital for further treatment. The incident happened around 7am. The victim was lying in front of a pick-up truck that he was loading, according to bystanders. It concerns a resident of the street.
