Confronted with Josefien’s complaints, Ter H. states that his company is not responsible for this. “That’s M. Dakwerken BV, I’m L. Dakwerken BV,” he tries to shift the blame.
Long insistence
Ter H. ignores the fact that the first-mentioned company is not just any other company, but the company of his son Mitchel. When confronted with this, he only responds after much insistence and states once again that he has nothing to do with his son’s work. He was allegedly only hired for a specific part of the job. Furthermore, according to him, the two companies have nothing to do with each other.
Yet Ter H. also seems to distort the truth there. M. Dakwerken BV is registered in the name of his son, but the fact that the two companies operate separately seems too easy a defense.
Invoices and reminders that Josefien shows our editors from M. Dakwerken BV include Ter H.’s address in Muiden. “Gerrit was clearly in charge and decided everything, I almost always had contact with him by telephone. His son only came into the picture when quotes or invoices had to be made,” says Josefien.
By the way: even if Ter H. were only involved with L. Dakwerken BV, there are also a lot of complaints about that company online. The complaints are similar to the complaints of Josefien, her neighbor and other victims.
Previous scams ‘nonsense’
He dismisses the fact that Ter H. has previously been convicted for several fraud cases as a ‘scamp against him and his sons’. “Those scams are complete nonsense,” he says firmly. “I have enough proof that I have not defrauded anyone, but no one wants to look at that. I will fight to the last to be proven right.”
Ter H. speaks – incorrectly – about only a few declarations, while he otherwise only has satisfied customers. “People who do business with me because they know that I do good work and also see that the complaints about scams are nonsense. I have a turnover of a few hundred thousand euros. I cannot achieve that with a few scams.”
Son Mitchel has also been asked for a response, but does not want to respond substantively. The same applies to Ter H.’s former lawyer Jos Rijser, who represented him in the lawsuit. Other than confirming that Ter H. was his client, he does not want to comment further on the case.
Ter H.’s current lawyer, Menno van Gaalen, has not yet responded despite several contact requests.
