Danique Tolhoek made an excellent start to the all-decisive European Championship qualifying round with the Dutch U19 team on Wednesday afternoon. The Orange Lionesses scored no fewer than ten times against Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the Kapelle striker accounting for three goals: 10-0.
Tolhoek quickly scored her first goal of the afternoon against the host country. Within five minutes she gave her team the lead. It then took a long time before the goal machine really got going. At halftime it was ‘only’ 3-0.
After the restart, Tolhoek made a big contribution with two goals, including once from the penalty spot. After 79 minutes of play, she was taken off. After her hat trick, the Ajax player now has 22 goals for the Dutch O19 team.
The second match of the European Championship qualifying tournament will follow for the Zeelander on Saturday at 3 p.m. It will take place again in Bijeljina, but now with Poland as opponent. Later, the Dutch team will also play against Finland.
