A 16-year-old girl from Amsterdam died from her injuries after falling from a house on Geldersekade shortly before midnight. Two 16-year-old boys who ran from the house were arrested by the police and are still in custody. It is still unclear whether this was a fatal accident or whether something else occurred. The police are therefore looking for witnesses.
The police were alerted around 11:45 PM about a group of young people who had entered a building on Geldersekade after forcing an entrance door. When officers arrived at the location, they heard that someone had fallen from a great height from the house shortly before.
The girl was resuscitated and taken to hospital with serious injuries, where she later died of her injuries. It is still unclear to the police what happened in the home. A spokesperson said that several scenarios are being investigated.
The two 16-year-olds who fled from the house have been arrested by the police as suspects. Whether they had a role in the case and if so, which role, is being investigated by the police. The police are looking for witnesses, specifically a man and a woman who may be important witnesses.
