Wil Boessen will stop as coach of Jong PSV after this season. The trainer thinks it is time for a new challenge, which may still lie with the Eindhoven club.

Boessen was appointed as assistant to Adil Ramzi at Jong PSV in mid-2022. The Moroccan left for Wydad Casablanca last year, after which Boessen moved on. The Limburger was previously coach of VVV-Venlo, Fortuna Sittard, TOP Oss, FC Den Bosch, Helmond Sport and two clubs from Thailand.

“I had a very pleasant time,” says 59-year-old Boessen on the PSV website. “There is the understanding on both sides that we must give each other space for the next step for the coming season. Everyone must be able to develop further. That is possible within a course like this.”

Boessen emphasizes that his future may lie with PSV. “PSV’s international projects really appeal to me, because I have a lot of experience with them through my time in Asia. I will carefully list the various options in the near future.”

Jong PSV is currently seventeenth in the Kitchen Champion Division. Boessen’s team will take on Roda JC at home next Monday.
