Rob Jansen does not understand the fact that Sven Mislintat is quickly on his way to Borussia Dortmund. The Germans were looking for a new technical policymaker and, according to the German press, ended up with Mislintat, who was fired early by Ajax at the beginning of this season.
In the podcast KieftJansenEgmondGijp Jansen, who as an agent has been critical of Mislintat in the past, discusses the upcoming transfer of the technical director: “This is very extreme. Of course he comes from there and they look at him differently, but in the international football world it is completely insane what is happening here,” says the agent. “This is just completely absurd. There is something really wrong with Dortmund’s management!”

Table guests Michel van Egmond and René van der Gijp agree with Jansen. Van Egmond came across a remarkable passage in an interview with a Borussia Dortmund policymaker: “In that news I also saw a quote from a Dortmund director who says: We hope to capture him as soon as possible. It’s bizarre. That’s how it goes in football. You blunder, you wait a while and you can start again,” the writer indicates.
Van der Gijp finds it special that a club like Borussia Dortmund, for whom Mislintat worked as a scout in the past, is joining forces with him as technical manager after Mislintat’s performance at Ajax: “Really bizarre,” says Today’s analyst Inside the podcast.
