Primoz Roglic crashed just under forty kilometers from the finish, together with a handful of other riders. The leader of BORA-hansgrohe, who wore the yellow jersey as leader in the general classification, was able to continue his way, but it took a long time before he was back on the bike. However, he was able to return to the peloton afterwards and would not lose any time.

Immediately after his fall, a roadside check was made to see whether Roglic had a concussion. That turned out not to be the case, writes BORA-hansgrohe.
