The makers of GTST left it a bit open, but according to Babette van Veen the soap will have to do without actor Kees Boot for the time being. Doctor Luuk Bos has gone sailing and won’t be back for a while.
Videoland has already shown how the on-again, off-again relationship between Luuk (Kees Boot) and Linda (Babette van Veen) in GTST comes to an abrupt end when Luuk suddenly decides to exchange Meerdijk for life on a sailing ship for the time being.

There has been no confirmation from RTL that the 54-year-old Boot has actually left the series for a longer period of time. The apparent exit was picked up by other news pages and therefore Babette van Veen could not resist responding. She shared some of the news in her Instastories and noted that her soap colleague has gone viral, and she also advised everyone to follow him on social media. She even promised to encourage him to post more often.
40-45
Kees Boot’s departure does not come completely out of the blue. At the end of December it was announced that the actor will play one of the leading roles alongside former soap operas Dorian Bindels and Soy Kroon in the musical 40-45. Because production will not start until September, it was not yet clear when Boot would stop his TV work. However, RTL already confirmed to this site that he would temporarily leave the series this year.
Babette van Veen
Babette van Veen will also make her appearance later this year 40-45. She plays the wife of Boot’s character, but can probably start preparations later because she shares the role with Renée Fokker. Van Veen recently left before GTSTrecordings to the Antilles, which means that she may still be part of the soap until after the summer break.
