Tajikistan’s security services have arrested nine people in connection with last week’s attack in Moscow. They are said to have ties to the attackers, among other things.
The arrested persons are also said to have connections with ISKP, the terrorist group that is said to be responsible for the attack in the Russian concert hall. ISKP is the Afghan branch of Islamic State.
The suspects were arrested in the city of Vahdat and then taken to the capital Dushanbe.
The four suspects in the attack, which killed more than 140 people, are also Tajik. They are in pre-trial detention in Russia. Russian prosecutors already traveled to Tajikistan this week to question family members.
Hundreds of people were also injured in the attack in Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed without evidence that Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States were involved.
