Dozens killed and injured in air strikes on targets in Syria | Abroad

--

Bombings in Aleppo province have left dozens dead, including a large number of Syrian soldiers, according to three security sources and an NGO. Hezbollah members are also said to have been killed.

The Syrian state news agency SANA, which is based on a military source, speaks of an Israeli airstrike. Observers from the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) also point to Israel in the reporting.

The Israeli Defense Forces want to join the news agency AFP not commenting on the issue, writes Al Arabiya.

The SOHR reports 42 deaths, including 36 soldiers and six Hezbollah fighters. Three security sources say otherwise Reuters that 38 people died.

According to the NGO, a Hezbollah weapons depot was hit, among other things. SOHR speaks of the deadliest Israeli airstrike in Syria in the last three years. This claim has not been independently confirmed.
