Five men have been charged in the United Kingdom with carrying out hostile activities on behalf of Russia, British police said. It goes according to the BBC including two Britons.

Three of the five men are accused of arson at a commercial building in London. This building is said to have a link with Ukraine.

A fourth man is said to have accepted materials from a foreign intelligence service. He is also said to have withheld information from the police.

British Foreign Secretary David Cameron is concerned about criminal activities. Cameron said on X that British justice “will hold accountable anyone guilty of crimes relating to foreign interference.”

The five men have been charged with the new British security law. The National Security Act 2023 was created last year to better respond to foreign threats to the British economy, democracy and values.

The five suspects are due to appear in a criminal court in London on May 10.
