Do you remain tired, lethargic and stressed? Maybe you should approach it differently. Timo Hans has that message. In The X Vibe he tells Jesse Sprikkelman about his book Stress Is An Art.

Timo Hans is a speaker and teaches people to deal with their stress. And he does that just a little differently than others. “The current approach to stress has no effect, every year more than a million people are at home with stress. Logically, because taking it easy will not solve anything.”

Health

There is a lot of stress in today’s society. Hans sees that too. “People think they have a lot of stress. And they don’t deal with the stress they have well. Ask yourself: Do you have health problems because you suffer from stress, or do you suffer from stress because you have health problems?”

But is there a shortcut to solve it? “Take better care of your health and yourself. People link headaches, neck pain, poor sleep and intestinal complaints to stress. If you don’t do that, there are many facets left to work on. Even in times of stress you can do something about it. your breathing, you can ensure that you sleep better, you can pay attention to your diet.”

Learning to deal with it

When you write a book about how to manage stress, are you completely stress-free yourself? Hans laughs at that question. “Being in control of stress does not mean that you have it. In our society we are confronted with obstacles and real challenges. These do not go away. Being good at stress is knowing how to deal with it, that you have relatively few complaints and that you are in good health.”
